WaterSound

WaterSound Beach one of two master-planned
communities (the other being WaterColor)
by Arvida, a St. Joe company, along Scenic 30-A. Although still in the early
stages of development, it promises to be one of the most
beautiful and unique beach towns along Scenic 30-A.

WaterSound
is being planned as a secluded, seaside village on more
than one mile of white-sand beach along Scenic 30-A.The town plan, designed by Robert A. M. Stern, features
walking paths, dune walkovers, parks,
a beach club and
recreational facilities blended into a
quiet community of single-family homesites, townhomes
and multi-family residences. The architecture and
programming at WaterSound are based on the area's rich
maritime history.
This new community is being planned on 256 acres with
homesites priced from
$899,000 and properties over $2 million. WaterSound will include a BeachClub, tennis
center and nature trails along a rare 80-acre coastal
dune lake.
In
addition to the onsite amenities, Arvida has completed
the Tom Fazio-designed Camp
Creek Golf Club. This private golf course, which is
a short drive from WaterSound Beach, is
master-planned for 36 holes, the first 18 of which
opened for play in May 2001 along with a driving range,
golf shop, and snack bar.
